About Us

Thyme & Plate Catering is a boutique catering company based in Bucks County, PA, located just outside of Doylestown and serves all of Central Bucks as well as the surrounding counties. We specialize in crafting custom, personalized menus for each and every event with a focus on quality of ingredients, presentation and ease of service.  We source all of our ingredients locally & organically when possible and do all of our cooking from scratch. Whether it is a dinner party, rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, wedding or backyard BBQ, we work with you to provide a menu & event that exceeds expectations.

Chef/Owner

Daniel Gallo is the Chef and Owner of Thyme and Plate Catering in Bucks County, PA.  Daniel grew up in a small suburb of Philadelphia where, like any child, his love of food centered on spaghetti, hot dogs, pizza & milkshakes. 

As an adult, Daniel enrolled at the Restaurant School of Walnut Hill College to learn about classical French cuisine.   It was during his tenure at the school that he traveled to France and ate and drank his way through Paris, Champagne and Burgundy.  He was not drawn to the haute Michelin food of Paris, but rather the humble cuisine of the French countryside.  A passion for rustic, delicious and comforting flavors was born.  Daniel graduated from the Restaurant School of Walnut Hill College with honors and then completed his “on the job” training with some of the best chefs in the country.  

Daniel began his formal training in Philadelphia and then embarked on a journey that would take him across the country with stops in Boston, Cleveland, Los Angeles, and New York City.  He has worked in fine dining, catering, food styling & as a private chef.  Along the way he helped open 2 restaurants recognized by Bon Appetite Magazine as “10 Best New Restaurants in the Country” for their respective years and worked alongside some of the most respected chefs in the industry, including 4 “James Beard Best Chef Award Winners” and 5 “Food & Wine Best New Chefs”.  Along the way he developed a passion for great ingredients, simple methods & big flavors.  Whether it is rolling pasta, roasting whole pigs, working with local vegetables or just making a sandwich, he has one goal: make it delicious.

Daniel launched Thyme & Plate Catering in the spring of 2022 with a goal of providing delicious meals, unique experiences & having fun along the way.
